Outings
Outings at BPGC usually take one of two forms: business-related, such as a thank you party for employees or customers; or charity events. Along with very successful business seminars integrated with golf. BPGC hosts some of the area’s most prestigious charity golf outings.
One of the common questions we hear is: ‘How do you raise funds via a charity golf outing when the outing itself costs money?’
There is a per person cost from the club; however, the amount the charity ask donors to contribute is up to them. This leads to a substantial spread between per person cost and minimum donation. Additional revenue comes from charity auctions of donated items, individual event fees (such as a hole in one contest), sponsored signage, etc.
The most successful charity events are ones where the donors can be convinced to write a large check. Those large checks only happen at the confluence of three things: an excellent cause, an excellent venue such as Bristlecone Pines, and excellent food and service such as provided by the staff at the Pines.
